  Educational Technology Tool KHAN Academy-  Khan academy is a perfect site that fosters independent student learning. This website provides students with informative modules that explain what they are learning during the course using different videos, activities and explanations. Each course is assigned specifically based upon their grade level, course and subject. This website allows students to learn independently and track their own progress. It also allows teachers to check their progress.  IXL- IXL can be used for independent student learning in many ways. The website includes engaging video tutorials that provide live instruction of the topic. Practice questions with examples, and detailed answers explanations that shows the students which step a mistake was made and how they can make corrections.   Grade Level: First Grade Lesson: Counting to 120 by ones Standards:   CC.1.NBT.1 Extend the counting sequence. Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral. Assessments: Tech Tool-  The tech tool I will use is a website called "Math Playground". During this lesson students will be able to count to 120 by ones, starting with number 1 and writing out each number in numerical order on a blank number chart. Students will be able to better understand this concept using this tech tool because it is an interactive website that allows students to participate in different games to help them successfully count to 120.   Purpose/Philosophy  The purpose of integrating technology into your lesson and curriculum is to engage, motivate and improve the achievement outcomes of the students.   Using technology in a classroom is important because it can make it easier to differentiate the course material to properly guide the students learning based on their specific learning abilities.  Equitable Use-  Equitable use is important when it comes to integrating technology in a classroom. In order to make sure technology is useful to all students its important that there is availability.
